Dear Patients,
I am writing to inform you about an important change coming into effect on April 1, 2026, as part of the new FHO+ (Family Health Organization Plus) model.
Under this updated model, cancer screening due dates (such as mammograms, Pap tests, FIT/colon cancer screening, and other routine screening programs) will no longer be tracked or maintained by our office staff. Instead, the provincial system will take a more active role in identifying when patients are due and notifying them directly.
What this means for you:
We strongly encourage all patients to:
Regular cancer screening saves lives by detecting disease early, often before symptoms appear. Your participation is an important part of your preventive health care. You can find out more by visiting https://www.ontario.ca/page/cancer-prevention-and-care
We remain committed to supporting your health and working with you to ensure you receive appropriate care. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to our office.
Sincerely,
Kelley Wright
